Product presentation and press interview at Intersolar in Munich, Germany (19.-21.06.)
New storage system with long service life
Cooperation with PROSOL
Subsidies of solar power storage systems with low-interest KfW loans
Dresden, Germany, 17 June 2013. PROSOL Invest Deutschland GmbH, specializing in storage systems, and the German solar pioneer SOLARWATT will work together in future. Since 24.04.2013, SOLARWATT has been delivering an innovative, intelligent energy storage system with the SOLARWATT Storage. The storage system based on lithium iron phosphate batteries is produced to the highest quality standards in Germany. PROSOL delivers this as part of a cooperation. Thanks to its compatibility, the storage solution with AC coupling can be easily integrated into every photovoltaic plant in the existing house installation and is therefore particularly well-suited to the retrofitting of photovoltaic plants. By using a lithium iron phosphate battery, the SOLARWATT Storage, equipped with an emergency power function, guarantees a maximum service life and a highest level of reliability in the supply of all phases of the household. With very short switching times the storage system reliably supplies all electricity consumers in the house in a matter of milliseconds, even when the public grid is down. Furthermore, lithium iron phosphate batteries are very safe: there is no risk of fire or explosion with this technology.
The combination of an emergency power function and the opportunity to economically sensibly supply yourself with up to 80% of your annual electricity requirement from your own PV resources makes this system an absolute highlight in future-proof energy supply concepts. In order to optimally fulfill the individual requirements of the customer, SOLARWATT offers its storage system in various sizes.
"We are very happy about our cooperation with the German market leader for lithium storage systems," says Detlef Neuhaus, CEO of SOLARWATT GmbH. "With the SOLARWATT Storage we are offering the ideal expansion of the SOLARWATT ENERGY SOLUTION, a cross-manufacturer energy management system, thanks to open interfaces, for a integral supply concept." The storage solution also goes with the KfW (German Development Loan Corporation) subsidy program for solar power storage systems: since 01.05.2013, the KfW banking group has been offering low-interest loans for stationary battery storage systems combined with photovoltaic plants. An amortization grant of up to €660 per kilowatt peak PV power reduces the debt and therefore shortens the loan period.
There is a chance to become acquainted with the innovative energy storage system at the Intersolar trade fair in Munich, Germany, from 19 to 21 June. Alongside the SOLARWATT Storage, the new SOLARWATT CARPORT SYSTEM will also be presented there. With the Carport System, SOLARWATT is not only presenting the electricity fuelling station of the future – for the house or electric cars – but is also making a solid contribution towards the successful implementation of electric mobility. A press interview with the management of SOLARWATT GmbH, Detlef Neuhaus and Carsten Bovenschen, as well as Christoph Ostermann, head of PROSOL Invest Deutschland GmbH, about the latest developments in the solar industry will take place on 20 June from 10 to 11 am in Hall A2, Stand 260. After the press interview, interested parties will have the opportunity to get to know the new SOLARWATT system solutions in the flesh and to get answers to all of their questions as part of a tour.
